10. One-month Countdown!

30 days to go!

One month till my Rangapravesam!

I can't believe we are already here! Things are beginning to fall in place nicely!

My mom has pretty much recovered from her surgery and is back on her feet, which is a huge relief for all of us! My grandparents arrived last Sunday! They brought the last pieces of my jewelry from India, along with some yummy pickles and other goodies. Two of my costumes have already been here and ready for a while, and the third one is getting ready. The program and banners are submitted for printing. Most of the invitations have been sent. Initial consultation done with Chandrika aunty who is coordinating the event- it was super fun seeing her vision for the event day decor! My parents met with Dan the rental coordinator at the venue, to discuss the layout and infrastructure necessary for the rehearsals and event day. We still need to work on memory books and some photo prints for display. It sure is a lot to plan and execute- I am grateful for my parents and the army of people helping them out in various ways!

As for the actual dancing part- my school is out for the summer, and I finally have more time for practice. Most of the choreography is done and Anu aunty is wrapping up the final item. I feel more confident with every class and every practice session. I do sometimes feel overwhelmed, thinking how close it is! Yet, most of the times, I am excited and cannot wait for July 14th to come fast enough!

Thanks for stopping by and reading this! I hope to document my daily progress here during this one-month countdown. Do share your thoughts and any advice you have for me- it means a lot!
